Very nice campgrounds. Stayed in the walk in campsite closest to the water both times we camped here. Had many deer walk through the campsite. Cautionary note, deer will steal any unattended food, no matter what it is. So never turn your back on your food, seriously they are sneaky and will wait till you're not looking and try to steal the food.
Great fishing area lots of bass and trout stick to the coves in the.morning afternoon shade that provide cool.spots like trees or shrubs will give you some nice pan fish or early evening could be the best time to go as well.
The lake is beautiful! The campgrounds are always nice. Good fishing as well. I love coming here!
Beautiful, serene and great fishing!! The water temp was perfect too! Pretty primitive as well. Will definitely be a new favorite spot!!
I was thrilled to camp at Buckhorn Campground on the edge of Black Butte Lake. Our site was amazingly beautiful... it was hot during the day in July, but lake access helped keep us cool.
